CrossHarbor Capital Partners, principal owner of the Yellowstone Club, formed LMLC specifically to bring a unified vision and a holistic land management approach to its two other properties in the region — Spanish Peaks Mountain Club and Moonlight Basin — and to bring world-class hospitality within grasp of pure unspoiled Montana.
To help fulfill the company’s vision, LMLC has formed a key strategic partnership with Boyne Resorts, owner of Big Sky Resort. Boyne now manages ski operations for Big Sky Resort, Spanish Peaks and Moonlight Basin. As a result, the three areas are now unified under one ski pass with terrain for all levels of skiers and riders.
With big nature comes big responsibility. At the core of LMLC’s evolved regional vision for Big Sky is the idea that the land’s natural beauty will be respectfully managed, preserving and protecting what makes Big Sky so extraordinary in the first place. Big Sky will grow through the careful introduction of inspired new mountain homes designed to live in harmony with their spectacular surroundings – and to provide a touchstone for adventure. Homes will be seamlessly woven into forests and meadows, and alongside trails, creeks and ski runs, leaving a significant portion of the project’s more than 17,130 acres dedicated to recreation or preserved for wildlife habitat, migration corridors and unimpeded views.
As the homes in Moonlight Basin and Spanish Peaks Mountain Club are taking shape, so too are a wide array of recreational amenities and hospitality offerings. LMLC is investing in new infrastructure and facilities throughout Big Sky, fulfilling a regional plan that allows all parts – residential, recreational and hospitality – to work together to create a single, sustainable ecosystem and the ultimate vacation experience.
